The service

NZ Directory is a curated, editorial directory of New Zealand tech companies. We decide, at our discretion, what is listed, how it is categorised, and what appears on the homepage. Browsing is free; these terms mainly govern listings.

Listings and accuracy

Free tier and the badge

Free listings must display the “Listed on NZ Directory” badge (or an equivalent text link to their listing) somewhere crawlable on their website. If the badge is removed, we may ask you to restore it and may unlist the company after a grace period. See the badge page for embed code.

Paid tiers

Featured is a one-time fee and Premium is a monthly subscription (both in NZD) that remove the badge requirement and add placement, as described on the pricing page. A one-time fee is refundable in full any time before the upgraded listing goes live, and non-refundable after. Premium can be cancelled at any time and continues until the end of the paid month; Premium homepage slots are limited and offered on a first-come basis. Placement is within our editorial layout; paid tiers never override the editorial standard.

Links

Listings include a dofollow link to the company's website. We may convert links to nofollow or remove them if a listing becomes inactive, misleading or spammy.

No warranties; liability

The directory is provided “as is”. Company information is supplied by the companies themselves and checked in good faith, but we don't warrant its accuracy or completeness, and we aren't liable for decisions made in reliance on it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be noted on this page with a new “last updated” date. Continued use of a listing after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
