Big Fig is all about slow food, served fast - an ever-changing selection of overnight slow-cooked meats, tasty braises, pilafs, delicious vegetarian and vegan dishes, and fresh salads - all packed with flavour, made with love and ready to go. All of our food and drink is available to take away. We serve breakfast from 8am-10am, lunch 11am-4pm, dinner 5pm-8.30pm, fresh pittas, cakes, breads all day from our in-house bakery. We also serve the best barista Allpress coffee. We don't take bookings - just turn up and grab a table. We also provide delicious, rustic and modern Middle Eastern-inspired catering for casual weddings, post-wedding lunches, parties and special occasion around Wanaka, Hawea and Luggate.
