Olympic Style Taekwondo Club

We are a Martial Arts Academy dedicated to providing high level training for athletes of all skill levels. Our main focus is in teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) and grade all of our students traditionally following a curriculum that's been around for decades. We also teach Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Muay Thai and Kickboxing. We cater to all age groups spanning from 5 to 50+ years old. Our facility is a state of the art martial arts gym with trainers in multiple disciplines including Muay Thai, MMA, BJJ and Boxing. U.T.A is a one of a kind, family friendly, learning environment that prides itself in helping people learn and develop skills in mixed martial arts while building and developing lifelong friendships and camaraderie.

Our classes cater for male & female, all levels of ability from beginner to advanced, including kids classes. We also specialise in Fight Training for those who wish to compete. Red Dragon Thaiboxing has produced 7 NZ Amatuer champions and are the producers of the only local Kickboxing fight night - Iron Shin

Mount Maunganui Jiu Jitsu is a locally owned dojo that prides itself on the integrity, supportive environment, and positive culture of the dojo. Mount Maunganui Jiu Jitsu is led by owner and principal instructor, black belt Felipe Santos.

Submission grappling is the combination of wrestling, brazilian jiu jitsu, judo and no-gi BJJ. We aim to integrate these to provide a complete skill set that can be used for competition, self-defense and MMA training.
