About Us Proudly owned and operated by Ngati Whatua Orakei - Orakei Health has been operating for over 50 years, since it's inception in 1970. The genesis of the clinic came from Ngati Whatua Kuia and Kaumatua with the moemoea (vision) to manaaki (support) and awhi (embrace) both, Whanau and the wider community in their health and well-being journey, creating the first clinic - Whare Ora (House of Well-being) later named Tumanako (Hope) House. Now Orakei Health continue their legacy and commitment to health and well-being, extending in to Primary Care and Community Development guided by Kaupapa Maori values and hold true to; Whakapapa , Whanaungatanga , Whangai Pukenga , Haerenga te Hauora.
