The Yoga Gem

We offer authentic Iyengar hatha yoga for absolute beginners and general practitioners in the Wairarapa (Masterton based), NZ. Much attention is given to alignment, precision and breath in our teaching. Students will feel well supported in a non-competitive environment. The inclusion of props in our studio help define the asanas and enhance the experience of them. Props serve to trigger our intelligence and bring life to our poses where we may otherwise struggle due to flexibility issues, lack of balance or simply weakness. Classes are designed to help students increase confidence and cultivate equanimity so allowing them to go from action to observation as their practice strengthens and deepens. EVERYONE IS WELCOME - new and experienced.
