Every ingredient, every product, every choice we make is intentional. Our philosophy is simple: everything we offer is either organic where possible, spray-free, or locally sourced. We believe Hippocrates had it right when he said "Let food be thy medicine." That's why we live by the 80:20 rule - 80 percent nourishing and 20 percent indulging in life's little joys. Take a break on the deck with a deliciously roasted coffee while watching the takahe, one of our country's rarest birds and a national icon of conservation. Our cabinet changes frequently and includes daily specials. Choose from house made favourites such as wraps, paninis and toasties; fresh salads in summer; and hearty soups in winter. Our in-house team love to bake fresh scones, muffins, cakes and slices to delight. We make the most of seasonal local produce and are inspired by Maori ingredients. There's a special children's menu and we cater for a variety of dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan, dairy and gluten free. Just watch out for the kaka!
