At Wedg Ave Woodfired, we take pride in crafting delicious pizzas and meats cooked next to an open fire. We are meticulous about every detail, from using Pohutukawa wood, which imparts a distinctive flavor, to achieving the perfect cooking temperature of 420degC.
Each dough is hand-stretched to order, and our dough is proofed for a minimum of 36 hours to ensure optimal flavor.
Our journey into woodfired cooking began when the owner/chef built the first DIY oven in the backyard during the Covid lockdown.
