Boat Clubs in Christchurch

We are a sailing club located on the Avon and Heathcote Estuary (Ihutai) in Christchurch, New Zealand We have an active fleet of lasers, sunbursts, zephyrs, optimists, and p class dinghies. Club racing takes places most weekends between September and May. We also have an active Learn to Sail programme for both Juniors and Adults.

Pleasant Point Yacht Club is located in South New Brighton Park in Christchurch, with brand new Club house and boat shed facilities finished in 2020. The Club sails on the sheltered waters of the Estuary, with a summer sailing season that starts in September and goes through to April, sailing on the Lyttelton high tide. We are a family friendly club that caters to sailors of all ages and abilities. A warm welcome awaits anyone who would like to try sailing.
