We are a boutique wine producer with a reputation for award-winning Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Riesling and Rose. Our delightful Bald Hills vineyard is located in the heart of New Zealand's Pinot Noir country - Bannockburn, Central Otago. In 1997 the site was identified as the ideal place from which to produce cool-climate wines, and Bald Hills was created. We look forward to sharing our wines with you. They are available through our website baldhills.co.nz, at the Cargo Cellar Door (2323 Church Lane, Gibbston Valley ~ 20 minutes from Queenstown), and in selected fine wine stores and restaurants (see our website for stockists).

We grow grapes and craft a range of wines (from sparkling to Pinot Noir) that express the stunning Central Otago region of New Zealand. We use careful hand-based viticulture and natural winemaking. We are powered by solar PV, and offer EV charging. We offer food platters, emphasizing what is local. We even have a sandpit for the young ones! If your group has 5 or more people, please let us know when you plan to visit by emailing [email protected]. For groups of 4 or fewer, no bookings necessary for our standard wine tasting experience. Mount Dunstan vineyard is one of the leading Central Otago Pinot Noir grape suppliers in New Zealand. We sit just north of the Alexandra Basin under the watchful eye of Leaning Rock, or Haehaeata, which means 'first to see the dawn'. The vineyard comprises a unique blend of rural lifestyle living within 42 hectares of established Pinot Noir vineyard. The local climate is extreme with hot summers, bracing winters and the lowest rainfall in New Zealand. Our sustainable vine and water management produces good yields of excellent grapes. We also produce our own wines under the Mount Dunstan label - Pinot Noir, Pinot Noir Reserve and Pinot Noir Rose.
