Located on the banks of the Whanganui River as it flows through the urban centre of the Whanganui district in Aotearoa New Zealand, The Whanganui River Markets are open every Saturday of the year. There are two sections, The Whanganui Farmers market with local growers and producers providing a large range of fresh food supplies, and The River Traders where local artisans, collectors makers and creators display their lovingly made products. The markets are a community gathering place and a way to find out more about this lovely riverside town, arguably one of the most beautiful places to live in or to visit in our country.
