We are well established in the local Whakatane community, playing an active part in providing our families with the best care for their children, along with strong established relationships with supportive services, to provide wrap around to support our families as needed. Our team brings an abundance of knowledge, culture, and experience that we are extremely proud of and we strive to make strong connections and work in partnership with family. We have 6 individual classrooms that cater for all ages 0-6 and our spacious outdoor area is a hidden gem, giving children the opportunity to run, ride, jump and even swim! We welcome whanau in our community to pop in and take a look!

Te Kohanga Reo o Wairaka is a Maori Based Language Learning Nest for children of the Early Years 0- 5 years old. We are a Marae based Kohanga Reo situated behind Te Whare o Toroa Marae. We support and encourage our children's learning liken to that of the marae where we also encourage whanau to be involved with their children's early learning journey through Te Reo me ona Tikanga....
