Wanaka Biathlon Club

The Wanaka Biathlon Club was formed in 2009 and is run by a group of enthusiastic volunteers who love biathlon. The club is affiliated to Biathlon New Zealand, our National Federation. Our volunteers have a wealth of experience, from shooting or skiing backgrounds and in some cases have international and even Olympic biathlon credentials. Wanaka Biathlon Club runs the only on-snow biathlon range in New Zealand at Snow Farm outside Wanaka. The range was built with assistance from the International Biathlon Union and has since hosted athletes from the national teams of Canada, Korea, Japan, China, Australia and Great Britain.
