The Food Basket CHB

We are a non-profit FOOD RESCUE & Freestore located in Waipukurau, we rescue surplus food and redistribute it to people within the Central Hawke's Bay community! It is a shame that perfectly edible food often goes to waste. There is food that is good enough to eat but no longer good enough to sell which we collect, sort & share with everyone. As well as donated food we encourage our community to share their knowledge, skills and surplus fruit/veges/plants with our community. Our fantastic team of volunteers help redistribute food to all people and families without exception or discrimination - you can help the environment by becoming a part of our initiative! Everyone is welcome to contribute and benefit from The Food Basket CHB.
