Possum Lodge is cosy & private - a typical traditional camping ground "the way they used to be". Possum Lodge is full of character, peaceful and located beside Lake Manapouri, considered one of the loveliest lakes in the world. Nestled amongst a delightful native Beech tree forest and the Waiau river. We pride ourselves on being safe, clean and friendly. We offer private motels, cabins, backpacker cabins (suits families or groups), powered camp sites and unpowered sites. These latter options share the camp kitchen, lounge, shower, toilets, and guest laundry. If you're looking for self-contained accomm, our motel cottages are perfect. A delightful 8 minute walk to the Doubtful Sound cruises departure point. Cafe, restaurant & bar nearby.
