Petmart was originally established as Riverlea Animal Care in 1992 in a small shop in Appleby just outside Nelson. Petmart is located at 332 Queen Street, Richmond, Nelson. We are the only 100% NZ owned large retailer of pet accessories in the Nelson Tasman region. Petmart changed ownership in Oct 2020 and has undergone a refresh in the store layout, but still retains our local atmosphere. Local staff supporting local.
