Community Services in Rangiora, Christchurch

Budgeting Services North Canterbury is a registered charity providing free and confidential budget advisory services to the communities of Waimakariri and Hurunui. We are contracted by the Ministry of Social Development to provide Building Financial Capability Financial Mentoring Services to individuals and families. We also provide community education in the form of MoneyMates workshops.

We are non profit organisation providing social services to those in need within the North Canterbury area, including op shop, food bank, counselling services, community garden, financial mentoring, community support and a vege co-op.

Comcol NZ opened our North Canterbury college in 1985. We provide: GROW course (12 weeks) - Goals - Resilience - Opportunity - Wellbeing. Tues-Thurs; Grow Cook Enjoy; Barista training; Get Ready for Work; Goals and Planning: Outdoor experiences. Youth Service and our youth coaches support the wellbeing of the young people living in our community - sometimes life is tough for them. We'll help with; mentoring, options for studying and training, driver licence workshops, getting ready for work, housing, payments for young parents and/or living costs. Equine studies for international students from Rangiora High School. We offer courses for disabled people from Rangiora High School and IHC NC, focusing on cooking and barista skills.
