Makotuku River Trail

Take a leisurely stroll along the scenic Makotuku River walkway in Raetihi. This picturesque walk takes you on a journey through beautiful mature native bush and extensive native plantings. Enjoy the stunning mountain views and unique art along the way. The native bush is home to many bird species and alive with birdsong. The walk is approx. 4km and will take around 1hr 10mins. Multiple entrances give you the option to walk shorter sections of the track. A great family activity and dog friendly too.
