Day Care in Putaruru

Where tamariki mokopuna enjoy play learning from Ranginui and Papatuanuku, with Kaiako contributing to education using their strengths. Our beautiful edible gardens are growing with nurture and manaaki from tamariki and kaiako. We have reviewed our indoor and outdoor areas offering wero/challenge and ako/learning for ages 2 years to school age. We uphold the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi through korero i te Te Reo Maori and about Te Ao Maori and are working on building our skills in this area. Kaiako value home languages, cultures and our community venturing on hikoi walks to the Putaruru Public Library, supermarket and will soon begin our hakinakina/sports at the nearby Te Wharekura o Te Kaokaoroa o Patetere kura fields.

We pride ourselves on the reputation we hold within Putaruru. We have an inviting, well-resourced environment to encourage child-initiated play. Our passion is to support our tamariki to problem solve for themselves and with their peers. Whanau are able to access a neutral, friendly environment, where they feel comfortable to stay with their child, meet other parents and talk with kaiako/teachers. We also offer a unique experience of Kohanga Ngahere, where our 8 eldest tamariki go out into the bush (Jim Barnett Reserve) each week to climb higher, explore, imagine, observe, listen, be resilient, wonder why, get messy, test boundaries, take responsible risks, make new friendships and learn to respect Papatuanuku.

We are a locally owned and operated early childhood centre located in the heart of our small town. We are committed to providing natural and stimulating resources to our tamariki, many of which we source from in and around our town. We utilise our whanau &d local community members to teach our children about other aspects of life and how they work to help others; such as ambulance, fire, police and library. We are very much a community orientated centre and love taking our children for walks and exploring what Putaruru has to offer our youngest members! We provide a natural outside play environment where children learn the importance of protecting and nurturing papatuanuku through taking care of our vegetables and looking after our gardens

Busy Bees Putaruru provides excellent care and education for children 0-6 years within our local community. We strive to create an environment where our tamariki and whanau feel a sense of belonging, and everyone feels welcome. We are so grateful for the spacious indoor and outdoor spaces, which keep our tamariki active and engaged. We are committed to providing excellent education and care service, and endeavour to promote the development and learning of each child, through positive partnership and open communication at all times for family, tangata whenua, whanau, and community.
