BestStart Onehunga is a beautiful childcare centre near the suburbs of One Tree Hill, Royal Oak and Onehunga. We provide a home-like environment based on respect and strive to develop a sense of belonging for our children. We have a multicultural and talented team of teachers who ensure that our children learn and understand about different cultures. We encourage children to value and respect each other's differences while promoting the development of a positive self-esteem.

At Oranga Kindergarten, we believe in the power of nature and imagination to help children learn and grow. Our kindergarten is filled with natural resources, recycled materials, and loose parts that encourage children to explore, create, and problem-solve. We are committed to providing a nurturing environment where all children feel safe, respected, and valued.

At Onehunga Kindergarten we are committed to the care and education of young tamariki in Onehunga and Te Papapa and enjoy supporting them to find a sense of belonging in their local community. We value whanau involvement and welcome whanau to share their knowledge, skills, and ways of doing, so that together we can achieve the best learning outcomes possible for their tamariki. We have a large and spacious outdoor area where tamariki have many opportunities to run, cycle, swing, play and explore - a perfect environment to develop creativity, imagination, and strong fundamental movement skills while having a lot of fun!

At apples, we encourage children to learn, grow and develop through a diverse nature education programme designed to uncover the potential within each child. We believe that children develop through their interactions with the adults in their lives, their peers and the environment in which they are involved with. We are inspired by RIE, Pikler and Reggio approaches to early learning. These practises blend together nicely. They all follow the childs lead in their learning, play and development and are very focused on respect for the child as well as the environment. We believe that all children accomplish milestones and learning in their own way.
