Ghella Abergeldie JV

We are the delivery team building Watercare's Central Interceptor. The Central Interceptor is New Zealand's largest ever Wastewater Project consisting of close to 20km of tunnels, 19 shafts, a major pump station and substantial wastewater management and network infrastructure works. It will run underground from Grey Lynn to Watercare's Mangere Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Ghella Abergeldie JV combines more than 30 years of tunnelling expertise in New Zealand with over 150 years of Italian and international tunnelling experience and capability. Our team has extensive experience working on major water and wastewater projects. The Central Interceptor project is located in Auckland and is expected to be complete in 2025.
