We produce wines with robust, fruit flavours and incredible aromatics which have won praise from consumers and critics throughout the world.

Richmond Plains is an organic wine making pioneer producing New Zealand's first Certified Organic Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. We also produce Pinot Gris, Riesling, Chardonnay, Rose, Syrah and Blanc de Noir - Pinot Noir made as a white wine. We believe in making great wines by working with nature in our vineyard environment. By using organic methods we can truly express the vineyard's character or terroir in the wines. Richmond Plains has been growing and making organic wine since inception in 1991 and is Certified Organic by Asure Quality, New Zealand.

Spencer Hill specializes in Burgundian styles of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir as well as unique styles of Sauvignon Blanc - they are our passion and the wines we all prefer.

Welcome to our Nelson Family Vineyard On a gentle north-facing slope near Tasman Village, you'll find Blackenbrook Vineyard, a small volume, high quality winery on a 20ha block owned by the Schwarzenbach Family. Blackenbrook Vineyard produces seven grape varieties: Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Gewurztraminer, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and the Italian red variety Montepulciano. Blackenbrook is accredited by Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand. It is a winery designed by a working winemaker. In this region, vines grow into Moutere clay soils and the mild maritime climate sweeps over the hillsides. Healthy soil, strong vines and sustainability are the focus of the vineyard management.

Gravity Cellars offers visitors a wine journey through New Zealand's top wine growing regions, right here in sunny Tasman. Our experienced Cellar Door team will take you on a tasting experience that showcases wines from our Nelson winery Waimea, Awatere River, Bannock Brae, LV and Sileni. You will learn about the winemaking philosophies of each of these wineries including the unique winemaking process of a gravity fed winery. We offer a selection of tasting options so there is something for everyone. If you have time to stay awhile, we offer a delicious lunch menu made with local produce for you to enjoy with a glass of wine, while taking in the stunning vista around you.
