Dave and Brent originally worked for the M.E.D. (Municipal Electricity Department) which covered all aspects of power transmission and general electrical work in the downtown Napier area. The company later took on multiple restructures and name changes (Bay City Power, HB Power Board and then ultimately Unison) Dave and Brent worked alongside each other as Technicians over the years until 1999 there was yet another restructure which the pair made the decision to start their own business opening the doors to Proelectrical in a small workshop in Onekawa a month or two later. Proelectrical has worked alongside the local lines company's and contracting companies to provide High Voltage cable testing and technical services.
