Maungarei Springs Wetland is a local wetland reserve surrounding three ponds. The reserve is located between Tephra Boulevard in the north and Lunn Avenue in the south. Access is from Tephra Boulevard. Walkways run through the reserve and around the ponds. The reserve has BBQs, park benches, a drinking fountain and picnic tables east of the ponds.
