Rachel Murphy Shiatsu

I offer Shiatsu, a therapeutic body treatment that seeks to address the needs of the whole person - their mind, body and soul. Shiatsu is a form of 'hands on' healing bodywork that promotes wellbeing and good health. By connecting deep into the joints, muscles and energy pathways in the body, Shiatsu rebalances the body's energy flow (Qi) and strengthens its natural ability to heal itself. Shiatsu takes place on a comfortable futon on the floor, where the receiver is fully clothed. I work with pressure points and meridian pathways using my thumbs, palms, elbows, knees and feet to help stretch and release blocked energy. Treatments are tailored to each individual's needs and can be gentle and nourishing or dynamic and revitalising.
