At 196m tall, Maungawhau or Mount Eden is the highest volcano in Auckland. From the summit, you can enjoy spectacular views of the city and its harbours. A large, well-preserved crater, some 50 metres deep, is contained within the summit cone. One of our regions 14 Tupuna Maunga (ancestral mountains).
