HIKOI Garden Tours

HIKOI Garden Tours is a small landscape tourism venture, run by Ian Henderson and Penny Cliffin. We are based in Aotearoa New Zealand - "Hikoi" means walk or journey in Maori. We offer inspirational journeys primarily for landscape professionals and garden enthusiasts to countries all over the world. We research gardens and their contexts of art and architecture thoroughly to make our tours informative, and suitable for professional development. Our tours are affordable, well organised, but not overly prescribed. We think tourism should enhance local communities and not be overly resource hungry.
