The Apple Pickers' Cottages

Three holiday cottages on the shore of the beautiful tidal Waimea Inlet, near Mapua village. Our organic property is a mix of fruit trees, gardens, and regenerating native bush which stretches around the estuary shore. The cottages are well equipped for a relaxing holiday with hammocks, good books, board games, barbecues, braziers and endless views to gaze at. On a full tide, you can explore the quiet estuary by kayak or paddle board. The cottages are secluded and private, and also extremely accessible; just 20 minutes (24km) from Nelson airport and less than 5 minutes to the coastal village of Mapua. Mapua's thriving wharf area has cafes, restaurants and galleries representing local artists. Good cellphone coverage and free wifi.
