Madills Farm Recreation Reserve

Large tree-lined reserve with plenty of opportunity for recreational activities, and a good network of paths around the sports fields. In 1947, the Melanesian Mission Trust Board subdivided part of their land and arranged with the former Auckland City Council to set aside 26 acres for recreational purposes. Part of this land was leased to dairy farmer W.H. Madill.
