We are a family-friendly bar and eatery located in Whatawhata (7 mins west of Hamilton, heading towards Raglan). The Whatawhata Hotel/Bridge Hotel/Whatawhata Tavern/The Backyard Bar & Eatery has been part of the village of Whatawhata since the 1800's. 154 years on The Backyard Bar & Eatery is still a place for people to have a drink and hang out with friends and enjoy themselves - as it always has been. But it is now so much more - live music, sport, food, family and community are the key ingredients. Kitchen Opening Hours - Monday & Tuesday - 11am -8.30pm -Limited Menu (Bar Snacks & Pizza) Wednesday to Sunday - Kitchen is open for main meals with full Menu from open until 8.30pm .
