The Westland District Library is a free public library which offers printing, scanning, free public wifi and computer access. Membership is free for district residents and gives access to books, magazines, e-books, databases and streaming movies. Founded in 1866, it was housed in the Carnegie Building from 1908 has been at its current address on Sewell Street since 2009.
