Nourished for Nil

We are a food rescue organsition, which means food that was destined to be thrown out for a variety of reasons, gets a second chance! Did you know that 1 in 5 bags of food you purchase gets thrown out as food waste? Food rescue has positive social and environmental impacts because it contributes to social good by nourishing people, including those experiencing food insecurity, and provides broader social benefits including contributing to community building by linking food insecure people to wrap around services. In 2022 we merged with the local food banks in Hastings and Napier and now we make food parcels on order from social service agencies. This service can be accessed on referral through a recognised agency.
