Cobblestones Museum and Heritage Village is an immersive time capsule giving glimpses into the characters, lives and legends of Wairarapa's early history. Six Heritage NZ Cat 2 listed buildings: Church, Hastwell Stables, Wairarapa's first hospital and dispensary, school, woolshed, and Victorian cottage all provide a journey through an earlier era. Maori taonga displays tell their own stories as do farm machinery, horse-drawn transport, dairy and sawmilling industries show their role in Wairarapa's early development.
