Uncovered by a true pioneer of winemaking in New Zealand and preserved by the Cowley Family. Three generations of the Cowely Family have worked this land in recent times. They share a vision of authenticity and guardianship; committed to make distinctive Single Vineyard wines and to leave this special land cared for and loved for future generations. Auntsfield was founded by David Herd in 1892. Grapes which have shared ancestry with David Herd's original vineyard are still grown on the land today. The same vine on the same patch of land.
