The R. Tucker Thompson is an authentic 19th century replica gaff-rigged tops'l schooner, steeped in rugged tradition yet modern and safe. Operating as a not-for-profit in the Bay of Islands, proceeds from Summer sailing trips contribute towards youth development voyages over the winter. We run day sails for visitors to the Bay from December to April, departing and returning to Russell. From May to November we run over 18 voyages from Easter to end October taking around 200 young people from Northland on life enhancing journeys.
