With a wealth of farming experience Kay has a diverse range of knowledge within the agricultural sector, raised on a commercial piggery in the Bay of Plenty, from Pig farming to Kiwifruit Orcharding, with Dairy experience and Sheep and Beef farming for the last 25 years, predominantly in the Gisborne region. In 2015 Kay and her family moved to Tararua region and farmed in the Weber District and now the Mangahei District of Dannevirke. In 2020 Kay purchased an existing registered Hampshire Sheep Stud.
