Welcome to The Grumpy Merino. We're a New New Zealand owned and operated online clothing business on our Sheep & Beef farm, 'The Grampians' which has been in the family since 1973.
Every year our 5500 Merino sheep are shorn, their wool pressed into 180kg bales. They are then tested for strength, softness, quality and colour. The top quality fleece which meets the Devold criteria, makes it way to the processing plant in Lithuania to begin it's journey to become a superior garment for you to enjoy.
We are finishing the circle by return the gorgeous Devold clothing to New Zealand for you to enjoy. Traceable, natural and sustainable clothing products to keep everyone cosy.
