Linwood Community Arts Centre

We run large exhibitions in Eastside Gallery and small ones in the Mini Gallery, offer 13 free or low-cost art classes and activities and we hire our three creative spaces for suitable community meetings and arts-related activities and events such as singing, dancing and performing arts. We are committed to artist development through our exhibition programme and community development via participation in our creative spaces. We specialise in providing accessible and affordable exhibition opportunities for new and emerging local artists. Around 7-8 of our 12 annual shows are open call. All of this takes place in a beautiful heritage building, one block east of Christchurch's CBD.
