Matakohe Architecture and Urbanism Ltd - Tamaki Makaurau

Matakohe Architecture + Urbanism is a kaupapa Maori design studio with offices in Whangarei and Tamaki Makaurau. Matakohe work collaboratively with Maori communities and organisations to progress their development aspirations, including papakainga and other multi-residential, integrated masterplans and land use plans for whenua Maori and general title land, marae and other community facilities, public space, civic, commercial, education and cultural heritage projects. We combine cultural and technical expertise to co-create a design process that takes into consideration the history, culture and aspirations of the whanau or community, allowing for maximum input and engagement, and providing the expertise to support effective decision-making.
