Pohatu penguins is a family owned and operated business offering unique nature and sea-kayaking safari to Pohatu marine and to the largest colony of Little penguins on mainland New Zealand. Over 30 years ago Shireen and Francis Helps started to protect the Little penguin on their property and after many years of self funded conservation work they saved the penguins from extinction from Banks Peninsula. Tours are guided by local experts and the work continue to be funded via Pohatu Penguins' tours. When purchasing a ticket you have a positive input on our little Korora.
